How can I rent a bike?
We give you different possibilities to the rent a bike
If you decide to book the bikes online in advance, you have to pick them up from our main rental points. Which are:
If you decide to rent a bike spontaneously, you can visit one of our main rental point or rent a bike nearby from our partners. You can find whole list of partners on rental point map.
Is it possible to pick up a bike at one place and leave it at another?
No. At present you have to bring the bike back to a pick up station. We are planing to simplify the pick up and return procedure and we will introduce this service shortly.
What if I lose the bike or it will be stolen?
A fine of 300€ is due. When you lock the bike properly it is very unlikely it will get stolen.
Do I have to do a road test before the journey?
You must carry out a road test before the journey to ensure, that the bike, which has been rented is roadworthy, lights, brakes, tire pressure and wheel function well and saddle height is right. In case of problems with the bike the rental point/mediator must be informed immediately. Bikes with defects cannot be rented. Complaints must be made within 10 minutes of the bike being rented; otherwise there is no possibility of compensation (indemnity). Further use is then at your own risk.
What is a tandem bike?
A tandem is a bike built for two adults. Both adults will need to pedal.
Do baskets come with the bike rentals?
Yes. Most of our bikes are equipped with baskets.
Do I have to lock my bikes?
Yes. You must keep your bikes locked at all times when you’re not using them.
Do I need a document, if I want to rent a bike?
Yes. This can be personal ID, licence drive or passport.
Do you rent electric powered or motorized bikes?
No. We only rent human powered bikes.
Do you have bicycles and accessories for children?
Yes. You can rent trailers for children.
What happens if I get a flat tire?
If you get a flat tire you should call us. If we can go to you to fix it we will. If we can’t, just take your bike to the nearest bike shop, get it fixed and save the receipt.
What are your hours of operation?
You can rent a bike 7 days a week. We’re open from 10:00AM to 13:00PM and 14:30PM to 07:30PM. Our partners have own opening and closing hours.
What if I lose the key or lock?
A fine of 15€ is due.
What happens in case of accident?
In case of accident the company assumes no liability. The customer is recommended to have his own insurance.
Should I book in advance?
It is advisable to book in advance especially in the summer when there is a very high demand.
Can you accommodate larger groups?
Yes. We have a large supply of bikes and equipment.
Do the bikes have lights?
Yes. All our bikes have lights.
Are the saddles adjustable?
The saddles are adjustable and should be fixed to the correct height before you start your journey.
Will you give us a bike lock?
Yes. Lock is included in the rental price.
What happens when rented bike damages during the rental period?
You are liable for all damage that occurs to the rented bike, except damage caused by natural wear.
Do you provide helmets?
Yes we do.
Do you offer insurance?
No, We are working on that.
What is a duration of a rental?
Do you also rent bike trailers?
No. Maybe in next future.
